The economy has impacted nearly every bride in one way or another.   At Perfect Pear regardless of a buyers desire to pay cash or credit we have seen this in several ways.   Primarily, many brides are planning much further ahead for their stationary needs and wanting to either spread the payment over a longer period of time or relax knowing that the purchase is completed.

 

We have also experienced a great deal of brides looking for ways to still have the looks of a high end affair but on a smaller budget.  Along with many vendors in the stationery market Perfect Pear has began to offer several different levels of services to address the needs of these couples:

 

  • digital printing from our inspiration designs; it has a great look but is much more economical than offset and especially letterpress or typography.

  • e-packages, many couples are actually emailing their invitation or using social networking and want their invitation in a format that they can send it electronically.

  • diy packages - offering design services only and providing the couple with a file & materials to print and assemble their own invitations at home.

Here are some other great money saving ideas that we have shared with some of our couples

 

  • Menus – instead of printing one menu for each setting, print two menus to display at your tables – it can be incorporated into your centerpiece.

  • Table cards – incorporate your favors into your table cards.  Print the guests name and table number on paper & wrap a box of the couple’s favorite candies or a box of matches.

  • Reply cards – save money on the extra return envelope and postage and opt for a post card reply.

  • Photo Booths – instead of renting and inexpensive photo booth have your printer order you a large vinyl drop with your wedding logo or symbol – guests can stop to pose in front of it, much like prom.  Get a camera on a tripod with a remote or ask your photographer to get involved in getting guests over there.   The photos afterwards can be printed and sent to your guests in your thank you notes.   Perfect Pear even offers several photo op banners as rentals through our event production company.

  • Guest Books – instead of purchasing an expense guest book that you are not likely to look at after your nuptials try:

  • purchasing a coffee table photo book that emanates the theme of your wedding, your personalities or your personal hobbies

  • have your stationery provider design small 3 x 5 cards to have your guests share personal messages with you, they will have more time to write something personal and you can use them in your scrapbook later.  Perfect Pear offers several rental pieces to help you in creating an exciting and memorable "guest display"
